How far in advance should we book?
We recommend enquiring as early as possible, particularly for weekends and peak seasons. We take on a limited number of bookings to ensure every experience receives our full attention.
What areas do you service?
We’re based in Ocean Grove and travel throughout the region. From Werribee to Torquay and Port Campbell to Queenscliff. If you're planning something further afield, get in touch and we'll let you know what's possible or recommend a kombi partner in your area.
Are your Kombis Original?
Yes, our main Kombi is Ruby, she's a 1972 Brazilian-built split-screen Samba - a rare 21-window beauty with a full-length sunroof and a two-tone finish in crisp white and candy apple red. Rescued from the Brazilian jungle and lovingly restored back to her former glory. She's not a replica or a retro fit-out - she's the real thing, carefully maintained and beautifully presented for every booking.
We are part of a vintage kombi network and can access other beautifully restored kombis to suit your needs.
What's included in an experience?
Every booking includes a chauffeured experience with a calm, experienced driver, your own playlist, blankets and fans for all-weather comfort, and flexible pacing with photo stops along the way. Our pages provide an overview of our experiences, but every journey is unique and can be customised. Please send an enquiry for full details.
Can experiences be customised?
Absolutely. All celebrations and tours are planned around you - your timing, interests, and the way you'd like the day to unfold.
What happens if it rains?
Some of our favourite journeys happen in softer weather. Light rain rarely affects plans, and we're always prepared to adjust timing or routes to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
How does booking work?
Once you enquire, we'll confirm availability, talk through your plans, and provide a clear outline of next steps. Everything is handled personally, with time and care.
Are tastings, meals or venue costs included?
Tastings, meals and venue experiences are typically paid directly to the venues on the day, allowing you the freedom to choose what suits you best. All-inclusive packages with set menus and tastings are available on request.
How many passengers can a Kombi seat?
Our Kombis comfortably seats up to 6 passengers (2 bench seats seating 3 people each), each with their own seat belt.
What is the minimum booking time?
Our minimum booking is 3 hours for celebrations and events. Tour durations vary depending on the experience - get in touch and we'll tailor something to suit.
Can we decorate the Kombi?
Of course - we want the Kombi to feel like part of your occasion. We offer a range of styling options including ribbons, signage, florals and more. We just ask that any decorations are non-damaging and agreed in advance. We're happy to chat through ideas.
Is your Kombi available for photoshoots and media work?
Yes! Our Kombi is available for film, photography, brand campaigns, product placement and seasonal mini-sessions. Static and chauffeured hire options are both available - get in touch with your brief and we'll put something together.
Do you cater for larger groups?
Our Kombi seats up to 6, but if your group is larger we have access to additional vintage VWs. We can also arrange multiple shuttle runs between venues for bigger events.
Where do you pick up and drop off?
Pick-up and drop-off locations are arranged to suit you - whether it's your accommodation, a central meeting point, local VLine or timed to connect with the Port Arlington or Queenscliff ferry.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. Get in touch as soon as you can and we'll do our best to accommodate changes. Full cancellation and rescheduling terms will be outlined at the time of booking
When do I have to pay?
We will send you a quote depending on your needs. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking and the balance is payable 4 weeks before your wedding or 7 days before your tour / occasion.
